Registered Massage Therapist,
Certified Pilates Instructor

Taryn graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Toronto, Ontario in 2011. In 2013, she received her certification as a Pilates Instructor from the world renowned Body Harmonics as a compliment to massage therapy.

Taryn’s mission is to determine a treatment plan unique to each individual’s needs. She achieves this with a wide variety of techniques such as Swedish massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, myofascial release, manual lymph drainage, deep tissue massage, hydrotherapy and remedial exercises, in which she integrates stretching, muscle conditioning and Pilates techniques.

In addition to massage therapy, Taryn provides private and semi-private mat work Pilates sessions. She believes that to completely eliminate chronic pain due to postural dysfunction and muscular imbalances, one must change the way one moves his or her body—with core support, flexibility, joint mobility, balanced muscle-strength and muscular endurance. This can all be attained and maintained through Pilates.

Prior to becoming an RMT, Taryn was a competitive figure skater and theatre performer. No stranger to injury and stress, she discovered how beneficial massage therapy is to encouraging the body’s natural healing mechanisms, how beneficial Pilates is to correcting muscular imbalances that cause pain, and how both are beneficial to calming and clearing the mind.

Methods of Payment:
We accept Cash, Personal Cheque (with proper identification), Debit card, MasterCard and Visa.

Most private insurance pays for Chiropractic care, Massage Therapy, Naturopathy, and Orthotics. Some plans pay 100% of these fees. Some pay only a portion of these fees. Please check with your plan administrator before your first visit to our office. We do not bill insurance companies directly except for W.S.I.B. or motor vehicle accidents (see below). You can request a receipt from our receptionist and submit this to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We are fully registered with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (W.S.I.B.). If your injury is a result of a workplace incident and it is a recent injury that you reported, you will be covered for your chiropractic care. All of your fees will be directly billed to the W.S.I.B. and you will not be charged anything. All forms and documentation (initial reports, functional abilities forms, back to work letter, etc.) will be completed by our office staff.

Car Accident Injuries:
If your injuries resulted from a motor vehicle accident all of your fees will be billed directly to your insurance company. It does not matter if you were the driver, a passenger, or a pedestrian. It does not matter if you were found at fault, or if you were an innocent "victim". The laws in Ontario state that all reasonable and necessary therapy shall be paid for by your insurance company.

If you do not have an insurance company there is a provision in the law to have another company pay for your therapy. We are knowledgeable in this field and will assist you through the "red tape" to make sure that you get the therapy you need without having to pay for it yourself. You do not need to see a lawyer. We have all the forms and are well versed in the proper procedures involved in claiming benefits after your motor vehicle accident. You do not need to pay us first and then wait to be paid back from your insurance company. We will bill your insurance company directly and there will never be a fee charged to you.
